Contract Law Update 2021

JOIN ONLINE - Wednesday 19th May 2021 (12-2pm)

About the seminar

Contract law lies at the core of the work solicitors carry out on a day-to-day basis. Whether a solicitor is involved in the negotiation, drafting and formation of contracts, or advises in relation to remedies for breach, he or she needs to be aware of important recent developments. Our Contract Law Update provides a comprehensive overview of all important developments in the law of contract over the last year.

Delivered by presenters who are experts in their field they combine academic depth with practical insight.

The Contract Law Update covers:

  • All major decisions in Scotland in 2020/21

  • Significant cases from England in 2020/21

  • Important statutory developments; and

  • Upcoming legal reforms to be aware of.

Key issues covered include the law of formation, interpretation, implication, and the interaction of different remedies for breach of contract. Developments are placed in context, so that trends or new directions in the law can be understood. All delegates receive a substantial set of materials providing thorough notes on all cases and statutory developments – an indispensable update to your contract law resources.
